Church Roof Restoration Appeal

The official launch of the Restoration Appeal was marked at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Friends of St Mabyn Church, held in St Mabena on Sunday 17 September. The Service, conducted by the Rev Margaret Millson, of hymns, readings and prayers of love, spirit, hope and glory gave thanks for the continued commitment of the Friends of St Mabyn Church and blessed the members of the new Restoration Appeal Committee. The Readings were given by Abigail Kirby-Harris, Chairman of the Appeal Committee, and Liz Williams, wife of the Chairman of the Friends. Prebendary Roger Urwin gave the Blessing.
The Appeal is to raise funds for major roof and other urgent repair works, and for which the Right Rev Bill Ind, Bishop of Truro and Alderman David Brewer, Lord Mayor of London have both agreed to act as Patrons. Several fundraising events are already planned, details of which will follow.

Proposed Barn Conversion

Dinham's Bridge - Proposed Barn Conversion
The proposal is the conversion of a small, late C19 single storey, stone and slate barn to a dwelling at Dinham's Bridge, St Mabyn.
The barn, whilst set in a now open field, forms part of a small cluster of buildings located around Dinham's Bridge and has been used until recently as a small field shelter for livestock.
It is located just a few metres off Station Road, approximately .75 km north west of the village of St Mabyn.
